Hi there! So glad you stopped by to learn a bit more about me.  My name is Sonya. After spending my entire life growing up in Ohio, my husband and I moved to North Carolina while he pursued his master's degree. We had to make the challenging transition to a world where pop was called soda and "y'all" was a legit word in everyday conversation. My heart and my business both grew tremendously in the South during the past few years, but I am now happy to be back in the Midwest.  My heart loves Ohio. My sweet little family and I are located in Northeast Ohio. Our son, Alasdair, was born in December 2014, and since then this adventure called mommyhood has been non-stop.  It has been surreal at moments during my photography career thinking about all the special, intimate moments I have been invited into when photographing the lives of others. Sometimes it began with photographing a couple after their engagement and then a few months later their wedding. In some cases, a little later down the road, I captured their growing belly and soon a sweet tiny babe.  I can remember even as young as 5 years old I would spend hours looking through our photo albums. You know- back when people's bookshelves were filled with actual albums? To me, memories are so important and should be captured to remember and revisit often.  It has been one of the biggest honors to be the one to do this for so many wonderful people.
